TIFF format
You can export your Expression Design artwork in the TIFF file format by clicking Export on the File menu. After you give the file a name and tell Expression Design where to save it in the Export dialog box, select TIFF from the Save as Type list, and then click the Save button.
Expression Design displays the Export Image Settings dialog box, in which you can specify image dimensions, and so on. For more information on the Export Image Settings dialog box, see Exporting bitmapped images. The Export Image Settings dialog box also offers options specific to the TIFF file format.
- Mode TIFF files can be saved in index color mode, 24-bit RGB color, or 32-bit RGB plus transparency (RGBA). If you select Indexed Color for the Mode, the Palette and Dithering options become enabled. For more information about these options see GIF format.
- Compression type You can choose to compress your TIFF image using the LZW or ZIP compression algorithms, or select None to turn off compression. Note that both LZW and ZIP are lossless, so you will not suffer any image degradation if you select them. However, some applications do not support compressed TIFF files.
- Save profile: If you expect to use your TIFF image in another application (for example, if you want to edit it further using an image-editing program), select the Save profile check box. This way, other applications will know what color space your image was built with.
